Fabric softening sheets

Not too long ago, we purchased a Bounce dryer bar on sale.  Unfortunately, not very long after we started using it, it decided to disintegrate while drying several of Gabe's uniform pants, leaving little specks of white fuzz all over them.  Gabe was none too pleased.  He called the company and told them what happened and they sent us a coupon for one, any size Bounce product.  We decided to switch back to the good, old fashioned dryer sheets.  Naturally, we chose the largest box we could find - 250 count, enough sheets to last us a good year, at least.

About a month ago, Gabe shared with me something he had read online.  Apparently, half a dryer sheet works just as well as a full one.  Which leads to the question: why not make smaller sheets?  It must be some kind of marketing thing...  Anyway, he suggested we start trying to use only half a dryer sheet each time we do laundry and see if we notice a difference.

We didn't.

Now we have a huge box of Bounce fabric softener sheets which just turned into a box of well over 400 sheets (we used several prior to this change)...  I'm pretty sure that should last us quite some time...

Unless I suddenly become like my mother and find myself doing several loads of laundry every day.  Which I hope doesn't happen until we have more kids.

Another tip I've heard (although, sadly it won't work for us at our condo): Skip the dryer sheets all together and opt for the totally free solar energy to do the drying...and add some amazing, fresh air scent to all of your fabrics!
